There is no cure, but there is a hope for a full and happy life in the aftermath of loss. For the children, families and individuals, both younger and older, who attend the Children’s Bereavement Center (CBC) and Lift From Loss groups, there is a haven provided to withstand the psychological and experiential hurricane created by the death of a loved one. Helping others to find equilibrium, resilience and transformation that allows them not only to survive but to thrive after devastating loss, has been the mission of the CBC, and of all of us who are its supporters.
For almost two decades, it has been our privilege to pool our professional experience, resources and relationships in service to the Children’s Bereavement Center. Through this journey, we have been blessed to work with the most dedicated expert team, an invested and committed Board of Directors, devoted and steadfast volunteers, caring and loyal corporate and professional agency partners, and a community of friends and family, all of whom have contributed the time, talent and treasure that evolved to develop the CBC into one of the nation’s largest and most recognized grief and resource centers.
Our work is far from over as we expand and build our model to best serve the thousands in our community who seek help for themselves and their families, when loss dismantles their lives. We remain your partners in this vital, life-saving mission so close to our hearts.
